Personal Masterclasses in Jessie’s studio for individuals and Small Groups

My one-to-one masterclasses are deeply rooted in my approach to making my artwork and living a full creative life. 

I am passionate about encouraging students to explore your own freestyle approach to embroidery, and making things in general, with your hands and heart. I warmly invite you to join me here at my private studio in South London, for an in-person masterclass or one-to-one tutorial.

My classes always include a handmade kit (as part of the class fee), which I create specially for each student. I also ask you to bring along personal items to incorporate into the work they make on the day. These might include fabrics, threads, personal keepsakes, ribbons, lace, buttons, a piece of writing or a poem. What do you like to collect? What would your personal story in stitch and fabric be?

I encourage you to enjoy this masterclass without focusing too much on finishing your work that day. Instead, I suggest you approach our time together as an explorative, peaceful slow-stitching experience, embracing and learning new techniques whilst taking inspiration from the original artworks, artefacts and materials in my studio.

My masterclasses are suitable for all abilities. Beginners are always very welcome, as are seasoned professionals from the embroidery and quilting world. If you are a maker and are feeling stuck with your embroidery, or would appreciate some guidance with a particular project, then a one-to-one masterclass could be the perfect starting point.

Masterclass sessions with me are five hours long and take place in my South London studio

Personal masterclass for one person £250

Personal masterclass for two people £300

Personal masterclass for between three and six people £400

How to book your masterclass

Please contact me and include your full name, the country you are travelling from, and any creative wishes, interests, ideas or needs for your time with me.

Please also provide me with some prospective dates for your class. My classes usually run from 11am-4pm but I can be flexible with start times, and we can work together to find a suitable date and time for your class.

I offer several different styles of class, and I will discuss all the details with you beforehand. For instance, you may want to start a project with me and then return in the future for a follow-up class. Or you may have a project underway that you need advice and help with. I am flexible when it comes to what you will create during your one-to-one masterclass.


My studio address and travel guidance will be shared with you once you contact me and your booking is underway.

Terms and Conditions

For private masterclasses with me, Jessie Chorley, at my South London studio, I take 20% of the overall fee as a deposit to secure your booking; the outstanding balance is due on the day of your masterclass. If you cancel your masterclass for any reason, the 20% deposit is non-refundable. However, you can reschedule your masterclass, provided you give me at least 3-days notice in advance of your original masterclass date.

In the unlikely event that I, Jessie Chorley, have to cancel your masterclass for an unavoidable reason, your 20% deposit will be refunded in total. Alternatively, you can rebook your masterclass for a new date that works for both of us.

Copyright/Legal

Please note that the techniques taught in my masterclasses are for personal use and inspiration only; they must not be used in commercial projects. No photography is permitted inside my studio, unless you are documenting, your own working process on the day of your class.
